Sin Chew Woodpaq Strengthens Regional Partnerships and Industry Insights Through SMF Taiwan Business Mission 2026
Taiwan, 31 May – 5 June 2026 – Sin Chew Woodpaq was honoured to participate in the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) Business Mission to Taiwan, joining a delegation of Singapore business leaders and industry representatives on a week-long programme focused on innovation, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and cross-border collaboration.
Representing Sin Chew Woodpaq were Business GM, Andelyn Oh, and Country Manager, Anthony, who actively engaged with government agencies, research institutions, technology companies, industry associations, and ecosystem partners throughout the mission.
Organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, the mission provided participants with valuable opportunities to gain first-hand insights into Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem, strengthen regional partnerships, and explore emerging opportunities within the semiconductor, technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Experiencing the Future of Technology at COMPUTEX 2026 and NVIDIA RTX Spark

A key highlight of the mission was the visit to COMPUTEX 2026, one of Asia’s leading technology exhibitions and a global platform for innovation in AI, computing, robotics, mobility, and next-generation technologies.
The exhibition provided valuable exposure to emerging trends that are shaping the future of advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and digital transformation. As industries continue to embrace AI-driven innovation, the visit reinforced the importance of resilient supply chains and specialised logistics solutions in supporting high-value manufacturing operations.
The delegation also attended NVIDIA’s RTX Spark launch event, where NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang shared his vision for the future of artificial intelligence, highlighting how AI agents, accelerated computing, and advanced semiconductors are driving the next wave of industrial transformation.
For Sin Chew Woodpaq, the event reinforced the critical role that specialised logistics providers play in supporting the AI ecosystem through secure packaging, precision equipment handling, transportation, and project logistics solutions for high-value technology assets.
Engaging Taiwan's Innovation and Industry Ecosystem

Beyond the exhibition, the delegation had the privilege of engaging with key government agencies and innovation institutions that play a significant role in driving Taiwan’s economic and technological development.
The delegation was honoured to meet Dr. G. J. Lee (李冠志), Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. The session provided valuable insights into Taiwan’s approach towards SME development, entrepreneurship, startup growth, innovation support, and international collaboration.
Participants also visited the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), one of Taiwan’s most respected research and development organisations. The visit showcased Taiwan’s strong innovation capabilities and highlighted how research, technology commercialisation, and industry collaboration contribute to the development of future industries and emerging technologies.
The mission continued with a visit to Hsinchu Science Park (HSP), widely recognised as the heart of Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem. The delegation gained valuable perspectives on the innovation environment, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and integrated supply chain network that have positioned Taiwan as a global leader in semiconductor technology.
The delegation also visited Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP), another key innovation and industrial hub supporting semiconductor manufacturing, precision engineering, smart technologies, and advanced industries. Together, these engagements provided a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem that drives Taiwan’s technological leadership and economic growth.
Through these visits, Sin Chew Woodpaq gained deeper insights into innovation, industrial development, and cross-border collaboration opportunities that support the evolving needs of the semiconductor, technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Visiting Taiwan's Leading Enterprises

As part of the business mission, the delegation also visited several leading Taiwanese enterprises across technology, manufacturing, automation, automotive, and consumer sectors. These visits provided valuable insights into how established companies continue to innovate, adapt to changing market demands, and strengthen their global competitiveness.
Through engagements with organisations including ASUSTek Computer Inc. (ASUS), Ennoconn, HIWIN Technologies, Ming Sing Florida Water, Shih Hsiang Auto Parts Co., Ltd, and SYSTEX Taiwan participants gained a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s strengths in digital transformation, smart manufacturing, industrial automation, automotive components, product innovation, and brand development.
The visits highlighted the importance of continuous innovation, operational excellence, and long-term business sustainability. Beyond technology, the delegation also gained valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship, brand building, succession planning, and business continuity across generations.
For Sin Chew Woodpaq, these exchanges provided valuable insights into industry trends, supply chain development, and emerging opportunities that will shape the future of advanced manufacturing and high-value industries across the region.
Strengthening Regional Partnerships Through Meaningful Networking

Beyond the site visits and industry engagements, the Taiwan business mission also provided Sin Chew Woodpaq with valuable opportunities to build relationships through a series of networking events held across different days.
The first networking engagement was a welcome dinner hosted by the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce (CNAIC). The session brought together Singapore and Taiwan business representatives in a warm and collaborative setting, allowing participants to exchange perspectives, build new connections, and explore potential areas of cooperation.
On another day of the mission, the delegation engaged with the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) through a dedicated industry networking session. This exchange provided an opportunity to better understand Taiwan’s manufacturing landscape while strengthening industry-to-industry relationships between Singapore and Taiwan.
The delegation also attended a high-level networking dinner hosted by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and KPMG Taiwan, with participation from the Taiwan Supply Chain Semiconductor Group (TSS Semicon Group). This engagement offered valuable opportunities to connect with stakeholders from Taiwan’s semiconductor and supply chain ecosystem, further deepening Sin Chew Woodpaq’s understanding of the region’s high-value manufacturing landscape.
Through these networking sessions, Sin Chew Woodpaq strengthened regional relationships, exchanged industry insights, and explored new opportunities for future collaboration across the semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and technology sectors.
Sin Chew Woodpaq extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Steven Pan, Executive Director of CNAIC, and Mr. Lennon Tan, President of SMF, for their leadership and support in facilitating these meaningful exchanges and fostering stronger business connections between Singapore and Taiwan.
